Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and BedrockRelay, part of the myGen network. They apply to the BedrockRelay website, dashboard, Discord bot, gateway, installable pack and plugin catalog. Questions can be sent to support@bedrockrelay.com.

Using BedrockRelay

You may use the service to route chat and selected events between a Minecraft Bedrock server and Discord channels you are authorised to manage. You must meet Discord's minimum age, and you must have permission to add the bot to a Discord server, connect its channels, and install a pack on the Minecraft server. You remain responsible for your server, its backups, your community rules and any notices to players and Discord members that their messages can cross between platforms.

Setup and settings live in the dashboard. In Discord, the bot provides /relay online, /relay run, /relay disconnect and /relay dashboard, plus any plugin commands the Minecraft server's owner switches on.

Your use must also comply with Discord's terms and policies, the rules of your Minecraft server or host, and applicable law. BedrockRelay is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord, Mojang or Microsoft.

Messages, channels and content

Messages and events appear in the channels an administrator connects. Direction and event filters determine what is sent. Channels with the Status event switched on also receive a notice when the Minecraft server goes offline and when it returns. If an administrator enables shared chat on both source and destination channels, a Discord message may also appear in another connected Discord server or channel. Do not connect a private channel or enable shared chat unless the people affected understand where messages may be copied.

You keep any rights you have in content you submit. You allow BedrockRelay to receive, format and transmit that content only as needed to provide the routes you configure. You are responsible for the content you send and must not use the service to harass others, spam, distribute unlawful material, evade Discord or server rules, or compromise systems.

Installation and credentials

Installation tokens, and downloaded packs containing them, can be used to speak to the gateway as your Minecraft server. Keep them private. If one may have leaked, use Revoke all pack tokens on the Minecraft server's page and reinstall.

If you install, update or uninstall over SFTP, provide credentials only for a server you control. They are used for that one connection and never stored. The installer shows every planned change before writing, but you should keep your own current backup and stop the Minecraft server before applying changes that require it. The pack needs Minecraft's Beta APIs experiment, which turns off achievements on that world. Hosting providers differ, and you are responsible for checking that your host permits the pack's modules and settings.

To check whether players can join, the gateway sends Minecraft's standard status ping to your Minecraft server's address about once a minute while it is connected.

Commands and permissions

Discord-to-Minecraft commands are disabled until the Minecraft server's owner allows them in the dashboard. A permitted command can change the game server, so review rules and Discord roles carefully. The owner is responsible for who can use commands and plugins. Anyone who manages a Discord server can disconnect a Minecraft server from it at any time.

Plugins

Plugins add Discord commands that run code on your Minecraft server. They come from our reviewed catalog and are installed over SFTP with a preview, and each is published under its own licence. They run on your server, not ours, and are provided as they are. Some reveal information about players, such as their location or inventory. The dashboard describes this beside each plugin, and you choose which Discord roles may use it. Grant access only to people your players would trust with that information.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the gateway working, but the service depends on Discord, Minecraft, network access and your host. We may update features, security controls and pack compatibility, or suspend access to address abuse or technical problems. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted delivery or that every Minecraft or Discord update will leave an installed pack working without changes.

Reporting problems

To report a bug, abuse of the service or a breach of these terms or Discord's rules, email support@bedrockrelay.com. Include the Discord server and channel concerned if you can. We review every report and may restrict or remove the Minecraft servers involved.

Ending use and responsibility

You can stop using BedrockRelay by uninstalling the pack and removing the Minecraft server in the dashboard, and by removing the bot from your Discord server. A removed Minecraft server can be restored for seven days, after which its records are deleted as the Privacy Policy describes. Uninstalling the pack or removing the bot alone does not delete gateway records. We may restrict use that breaches these terms or threatens the service or its users.

BedrockRelay is provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those rights, you remain responsible for your own Minecraft server, Discord community, backups and any content transmitted through your chosen routes.

Privacy and updates
